Lovers of the mountains and forests can stroll, hike or cycle through the Parc del Montnegre i el Corredor, with interesting places such as Can Bruguera, the Veïnat de Mata district and the Parc Forestal, with a number of viewpoints surrounded by nature.
The route Camí del Nord, otherwise known as Camí del Canigó, begins in Mataró and is the GR 83 long-distance trail that connects the capital of the Maresme with the town of Prades de Conflent (Languedoc-Roussillon, France). It is 213 kilometres long and the most important milestone on the way is the summit of the Canigó mountain, in the eastern Pyrenees.
